christmas happenings...

Christmas came in spurts again this year. I love that about our little 'set-up'. Christmas before with my parents. Our little Christmas on the day. Christmas with more family sometime after. It lingers. We enjoy decor and the tree being up a little longer, but mostly we treasure the extra time with family.  That and celebrating the glorious story of Christmas the whole live long month. I really anticipate the entire month of December. It feels everything my weary soul ever really needs. How very explanatory that the New Year is jump started with such vigor, passion, and purpose coming off the coat tails of the month long anticipation of the birth of Christ.

Some pictures of our happenings:

Ready to sing for the Christmas Cantata. If this isn't a Sophia face, I don't know what is!

The 21st.

Asher serenaded us with a piece all his own.

My parents caught special footage of the cantata.

I love boys!

This went on the whole day. Grampy was an excellent sport, of course.

What can I say? I love him!

Grammy and Johnny have a special little bond. He always finds her.

Chess with the Chess pro.

Grammy, she just knows! And both her handiwork!

A special gift from our special and loved Julia.

New books quickly devoured by this one the next day.

I suppose if we had done a Christmas card this would have worked! But we didn't!

Up next: Christmas Eve shenanigans!
